Salty Grom Surf Camp's sprouts program is a beach camp dedicated to getting your littlest grom comfortable with the ocean. Although there is one-on-one surf time, surfing is not a priority. We want to focus on becoming familiar with the beach environment, seashore, and gentle water play. We do this by integrating games and exploration into everything we do.

ADDITIONAL BREAKS
Because sprouts can't always remember to drink water, re-apply sunscreen, or get out of the hot Huntington Beach sun for a bit, we have integrated this time into our schedule. We make sure to keep all the kids well-hydrated, screened up, and just take it easy if need be.
GROUP SYSTEM
In our main camp, we rely on the buddy system when using the restroom (if old enough). Within sprouts, we use the group system, that means if one grom needs to use the restroom, take a water, or sunscreen break, their group will go as well. It never hurts to be take an extra break for something so easily forgotten.
MODIFIED CIRRICULUM
We hold education high on our list of things that we want each child to leave with. We want to challenge each grom to learn about the ocean, how to protect it, and be able to decide for themselves whether or not it is safe to go surfing on any given day. We spend each morning going over current conditions.
